Seat Selection & Updates
Greetings, gamers! As of this blog, we're roughly two weeks from LAN party tickets being available! We can't wait to see you all again in person. Exciting times are ahead!
This year's venue layout will look a little different than previous years. We've rearranged the room to make space for more seats. And as mentioned previously, we've created new ticket tiers with enhanced experiences for those interested.
On that note, we wanted to share a few more updates before tickets become available.
First, let's talk about Seat Selection.
In recent years, our LAN party tickets have been selling out quickly (like, within minutes). For many of you, grabbing tickets and finding your ideal seat has been a mad dash. It was common for attendees to unknowingly joust for seating as multiple people were trying to grab spots simultaneously.
To help ease some of the stress, this year, we plan to stagger ticket purchases ahead of seat selection. Tickets will be available in January, and we'll subsequently roll out seat selection for ticket holders in mid-February. Seat selection will roll out in waves based on the type of tickets attendees purchased.
- Presale ticket holders (e.g. GRID members) will have first access to the seating chart.
- Premium and Enhanced ticket holders will receive access to seat selection two days after presale holders.
- Finally, General ticket holders will receive access to seat selection two days after Premium and Enhanced ticket holders.
Private Suite holders will not need to select seats, as they'll have dedicated rooms during the event. We'll be contacting those folks directly with more details.
By staggering this process, we hope to create a much smoother seat selection experience for attendees and fewer real-time conflicts of multiple people trying to grab the same spaces.
Seat selection will begin the week of February 12th. We'll send out emails to ticket holders and post a blog update here on the website to remind everyone!
Lastly, we also wanted to share that we've altered the pricing of the Enhanced Ticket to better align with the overall offerings of other ticket tiers. The Enhanced Ticket will now cost $90 as opposed to $125. As a reminder: the Enhanced ticket provides venue access on Friday evening (e.g. a whole extra night of gaming!) and a batch of raffle tickets.
That's all for now! Stay tuned to the Gamers for Giving website in the coming days for more updates. We'll also be sharing details surrounding this year's Tournaments & Activities very soon.
See you in March!
